Global Product Lifecycle Team: Team Development
Industry: Pharmaceutical
The team consists of over 20 experts and team leaders from highly diverse functional and cultural backgrounds. One and half years into working together, the team is held back by differences in working styles and values and a conflict-avoidant culture that prevents the team from addressing these differences constructively.
in.teams worked with the team to recognise the prominent differences in perception and values within the team through our Team Climate Assessment. Coaches worked with the team to dive deeply into the team members' assumptions about speaking about and addressing conflict. Over the course of 6 months, the team challenged its own mindset, learned about the unique strengths of each of its own team members, and worked on its ability to turn emotional conflict into constructive task conflict.
VP of Digital Strategy: Executive Coaching
Industry: FMCG
The Vice President of Digital Strategy was new in role. He moved into a large organisation in a new industry and took on the leadership role of larger team. While highly competent in his technical expertise, the VP lacked confidence in leading a team of people with more industry experience while mapping out a new strategy for the department.
An in.teams coach worked with the VP by clarifying his motivation for this career move and focusing on his unique strengths to this organisation. By embracing the value he uniquely brought to the organisation, the VP was able to let go of his need to prove his worthiness and fear of failure. While doing so, he identified key members of his team to complement his skills and built a leadership team that led the entire department together through a share mission.
Global Leadership Talents: Development Journey
Industry: Financial Services
Twenty-four global talents in country and regional leadership positions were nominated for a leadership development and network building opportunities. Due to the Covid pandemic, the organisation needed a program containing both virtual and in-person experiences while fostering a strong sense of community.
in.teams joined force with a group of international program managers and designers to co-create the journey with the client. A needs analysis panel consisting of senior leaders and program participants gave input on goals and desired content through a design sprint, followed by an iterative design process. The result is a multi-module program over 18 months with content and format which can be tailored for either virtual or in-person mode. Program kick off and module one, taking place virtually, already built deep connection among participants across over 6 time zone, proving that multi-day virtual learning experiences can be just powerful.
